黄庆华，男，教授、博导。1976年11月生于黑龙江大庆。1994年考入中国科学技术大学自动化系（五年制本科），于1999年和2002年分别获自动控制专业工学学士学位和模式识别与智能系统专业工学硕士学位。2002年9月进入香港理工大学赛马会复康科技中心任研究助理。2007年于香港理工大学医疗科技及资讯学系获哲学博士学位(Ph.D.)，师从郑永平教授。2007年3月至2008年10月在香港城市大学电子工程系任博士后研究员。2008年12月至2013年8月，任华南理工大学电子与信息学院副教授，2013年9月破格晋升教授。2017年入职西北工业大学光学影像分析与学习中心。
近年来从事医学图像处理与分析、模式识别理论与应用等领域的工作，重点研究医学超声成像技术、机器学习与数据挖掘理论与应用、计算机辅助诊断技术、基于并行处理（云计算）的医学信息处理、智能化金融数据分析等。主持包括3项国家自然科学基金在内的10多项科研项目，个人负责经费超过1000万。
发表论文超过150篇，其中20+篇IEEE/ACM汇刊论文，80+篇为SCI收录（含已录用），三大索引论文>130篇，获授权/公开专利45件及软件著作权4件。Google Scholar统计总被引2200余次，Web of Sciences上总被引1100次（截止2018年12月）。
